What an exciting morning! Mrs. Badgett's AG class each read a Geronimo Stilton book, then came to the media center to talk about how this series uses different fonts and colors to make the words and descriptions more exciting in the writing. Their task - to write an adventure for Caleb the Croc that will all go together as chapters in a class book. They will write the rough draft, then type it using different fonts and colors to make it more exciting and to encourage their use of better descriptive words in their stories. Little did they know Caleb himself was going to stop by! They were so excited when he came in - one even said "this is so unexpected!" The students could not stop telling Caleb about the adventures he was going to have from being stuck in a forest, to lost in a haunted house, to meeting Johnny Depp, to (my personal favorite!) being trapped in the school library when all the book characters come to life! I can't wait to see the finished stories!
